Description

Storytelling is an exploration of the basic elements of storytelling—character development, context, conflict, climax and closure. We’ll identify character archetypes, practice two-sentence stories, explore both the hero’s and heroines journey, story arcs, transformation and so much more!

We'll Explore

Each week I will provide you with a photo challenge based on one of the concepts below. You will be exploring these basic building blocks with an eye towards a completed visual story.

We’ll cover these storytelling basics:

    • Character
    • Setting/location
    • Conflict or obstacle
    • Climax
    • Closure

Personal Enrichment

If you’re interested in stretching your toy photography skills, this is the workshop for you.  I will be encouraging you to practice all the skills you’ve mastered from toy choice to layered symbolism. With the help of the supportive group you will receive important feedback that will help you make the most of your ideas.

This workshop will challenge you, but when you’re finished you will understand how all the skills you’ve been learning work together for maximum impact and clarity.
