Changes – the Slow Burner Account

Description: Lego, spaceships, my camera and the world wide web, what has changed in 15 years and what has not.

Bio:

Hi all. I’m a native of Finland, born in Helsinki, still living here, married. I am a freelancing illustrator/graphic designer/photographer depending on the mood or whether I’m under a work assigment.

I took my first Lego and scale model photographs in late 1970’s. Yes, I’m that old. I was a kid then and they were just random photographs not really knowing anything about how a camera works. And my goodness how frustrating that was. Fast forward to the summer of 2009 when I realised my first DSLR and the little knowledge I had accumulated of cameras over time was great for photographing toys – or spaceships. I’ve been doing that ever since, Lego, scale models and more.

Random things about me: I watch movies a lot, I don’t read as much as I would like to, I go to daily walks with our dog Martti (border terrier, 13 years old), I listened too much music too loud in my youth, I still do but I really shouldn’t, I go to see modern dance performances many times a year.
